The early estimate for Q3 GDP growth put out by the Atlanta Fed’s GDPNow model is at +3.7% and will be updated after tomorrow’s jobs report:
“GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the third quarter of 2016 is 3.7 percent on August 4, up from the initial third-quarter forecast of 3.6 percent on August 3. The final model nowcast for second-quarter real GDP growth was 1.8 percent, 0.6 percentage points above the advance estimate of 1.2 percent released on July 29 by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
