Most active strikes, WTI… CME – Commodity Research Group

Front month Feb futures traded in a $6.50 range yesterday… Option volume was heavy with 431,199 trading, 242,824 calls, 188,375 puts… I show record volume at around 700,000 on November 13th, 2018… Feb options (LOH) expire next week in the 15th… At the money implied vol in Feb settled at 28.5 vs. 27.9 yesterday… March settled at 29.4, +1.6… This is pretty much the kind of trading one would expect on such an extreme day in the underlying futures… Perhaps vol below the long term average is a little surprising… The CME’s Most Active Strike tool can be found, here…
